Go here. We were in the area and really only stopped here because we were hungry and didn't know what else was around. I hesitated because there weren't many cars in the parking lot at all. My husband ordered the club sandwich and fries. I originally ordered their shepherds pie, but they were out of it. Quickly, I said the chicken salad. Best choice. My husband said it was the best club sandwich he ever had. Fries were also great. I was shocked by the amazing presentation of the chicken salad. It said it includes fruit, I didnt expect the incredible display. And let me also say it was incredible chicken salad over fresh crisp green lettuce and served with a sweet vinaigrette. I am going to make another trip to this area just to go here again!

I do not underatand why this restaurant is not rated at a 5 when it pulls up on google. Was this our first time coming here, yes! Will we be back, hell yes! Now, every restaurant has good and bad days but this place truly deserves the best rating. My partner and I happened to make a pit stop on our adventure from Columbus, GA. Now, as I say partner lightly, we are different people. NOT ONCE, not once did we feel out of place. This restaurant, with the best southern hospitality anyone could ask for, treated us like family. The lady that took care of us (lord I can't remember her name but I will request her every time) was so nice. She told us what she recommended, gave us the best lemonade ever, brought us the biggest cinnamon roll ever, gave us to-go lemonades for our 3 and a half hour drive back home. I went up, got to meet the owner, only to tell her this food was slap your momma good. All in all, I have NEVER found a restaurant that genuinely fit southern hospitality and taste as this place. I will drive 3 and a half hours just to eat here again. Thank you to everyone that works there. What a way to make someone feel at home even if we are a little different. See yall soon!

To go order on phone went well! Food was ready for pick up at appointed time. Food was exquisitely prepared with great presentation and flavor triggering expertise. Could easily be said the most flavorful food on the edge of Lookout Mountain. If your passing through come enjoy a meal at the southern harvest. The only con was no napkins with takeout order. So the blackberry iced tea and homemade style fries secured the five stars with this visit. Great food and service. Pictured is The Reuben and the blackened chicken Philly cheese sandwich es.

Amazing food!! We were visiting Desoto State Park and stopped here for dinner. My wife and I had the hamburger steak. We also had the mac and cheese. Everything was really good, and the service was awesome. We enjoyed it so much we went back before we headed home. I definitely recommend trying the bison burger as well.

Going into Southern Harvest, I expected subpar food at best. Upon writing this review, I am quite literally overwhelmed by the flavor and quality of the food here! The speed of food-to-table service was okay, but we did have to reorder due to being out of a few food items because of a large group the day before. I ended up ordering a Philly Cheesesteak which was a near perfect Cheesesteak. The flavor and texture was overwhelmingly delicious! Other than needing some more salt, the fries were also near perfect! The fried green tomatoes are one of the best food items I’ve tried, period. Overall, from the flavor, the quality, and the freshness of all the food, this is a must stop on your road trip! You will not be disappointed!

Just wow!My daughter and I were on the World’s Longest Yardsale and getting hungry. Suddenly this adorable restaurant appeared at a crossroads on our road trip and we thought it looked like a great place to eat! This was a really happy, unplanned surprise and I’m so glad we ate at Southern Harvest. This place was delicious, our server was friendly and attentive, and not only did we leave stuffed, but we also bought several of their pastries and desserts to take to our cabin for when we had room to eat again! The first sign this was going to be a great meal was the blackberry lemonade. It was tangy and sweet and so refreshing. We had green salads with THE GOOD RANCH - if you like ranch dressing you know what I mean when it comes to the table in little cups with a lid. It was homemade and so flavorful. The crab dip appetizer was awesome and I wish it came with twice as much because it was so delicious. The seasonings they use - like sage - are really incredible in the cheesy dip.Their pastas were huge mounds of noodles and toppings. That tasted so fresh and delicious. The chicken on my dish was amazing - perfectly fried. We were so full by the end of our meal we had no room for dessert, but bought three different things to take with us.Food isn’t fast but that’s because it’s all made to order and so fresh so sit back and enjoy the ambiance and get ready to feast.Oh! Forgot to say the yeast rolls that came with our dinner were exceptional! Melt in your mouth perfection. I think I could make a meal of the rolls alone! Serious kudos to the baker.

Stopped in on a whim (Sunday at lunch), and so glad we did.Wife got the Chicken Stir Fry, I had the Grilled Pork chops (onion rings and Cesar salad). The Cesar salad was good; but not your typical romaine lettuce, it was composed of mixed greens. The beer-battered onion rings were very good, which was only complimented with the honey-mustard that was available. The roll provided was large, and great tasting with the herbed-butter glaze it had.The Chick Stir Fry had a sweet, yet spicy, flavor, and the rice that was served with it was plump, yet firm.Service: outstanding. Grace was our waitress: she was prompt, smiled, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to requests.Overall: Great place to stop in. You'll be glad you did.

My Godson recommended this place, so we gave it a try. The food was AMAZING and so fresh. My husband had the chicken alfredo, I had the chicken stir fry, but I substituted rice with pasta. This is the first time in a long time I have had grilled chicken cooked the was it supposed to be cooked. Both of our dishes, the chicken, was juicy and flavorful. We will definitely be returning to try steak, which was good also. So, I stayed tuned for that review.
